Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement Specialist, the CI Coordinator will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, plan, and execute process improvement initiatives.
This position requires a solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Lean / 5S, and (Poka-yoke) strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and train others on process improvement concepts.
This position has responsibility over Trilliant Food and Nutrition as well as Horseshoe Beverage Company facilities.
Time will be split equally between our facilities in Little Chute, WI and Neenah, WI.
Key
Responsibilities:
Coordinate CI Activities Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies, in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Conduct Gemba walks.
Focus on elimination of waste (TIMWOODS).
Assist in Kaizen events and follow up improvement events.
Assist and sponsor 5S events and conduct 5S audits.
Drive the use of CI tools such as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), and Poka-yoke to help solve problems.
Capability Studies Assist company Black Belt with measuring the performance and capability of key pieces of equipment and systems.
Start to measure equipment performance against specification in terms of CPK value.
Performance against Customer Requirements Monitor and measure the progress of process improvement initiatives, track key metrics, and report on the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
Ensure customer specific requirements (date codes, release criteria, samples, testing, etc.
) are properly communicated to Operations and Warehouse personnel.
Continuous Improvement Training Provide training and mentorship to employees at all levels on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
Identify quality and / or manufacturing topics that require improvement though personnel training.
Work with the Training Department to develop and update training content as a function of CI with affected personnel.
Verify required CI training records are completed and filed.
Fostering a Culture of Continuous Improvement Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Specialist to maintain a Lean Six Sigma culture, ensuring compliance with established methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Act as a change agent by promoting a continuous improvement mindset and influencing others to adopt and embrace improvement initiatives.
Identify and resolve potential risks and obstacles that may hinder the success of improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a science based related area of study preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

years hands-on plant quality assurance and/or continuous improvement experience in a food industry or related manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of food packaging principles, food industry quality and food safety requirements, ingredient performance, interactions with equipment, statistical process control, manufacturing unit operations, and management of change (MOC).
Proven experience in leading and delivering process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using process improvement tools and methodologies such as DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, etc.
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and continual improvement.
Proficiency in using process mapping and process improvement software/tools is preferred.
Must be willing to be a hands-on performer and spend significant time on the plant production floor and support CI across shifts as needed.
Hours and Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary that meets cost of living and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
Hours are primarily Monday-Friday 7:
30-4:
30 with occasional off-shift hours required to meet business needs.
