POSITION SUMMARY The Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a Mark Andy or similar printing machine to produce print on label rolls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, and anilox BCM.
Monitor feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
Select and install printing plates, rollers, feed guides, gauges, screens, stencils, dies, and cylinders in machines according specifications, using hand tools.
Ensure work area remains within 5S standards.
Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise on the machine you are operating.
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED.
Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
